This is the place where I write about security. I've been working in security full time for over two decades and part time well before then. In that time, I've learned a lot, and have opinions on even more. This is the place where I try to document some of those learnings and opinions in the hope that it might help others.
Jesper Johansson is an experienced security engineer and executive. He has worked at both startups and top Fortune companies and has consulted with startups, large private sector companies and government agencies across the world. His work is devoted to creating a risk-based security vision and security strategy that focuses on operational excellence, improving the security basics, and enabling companies to meet simple as well as advanced threats. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Information, an MBA in Finance, and an MS in Information Systems. He has authored three books and many articles and has delivered hundreds of presentations all over the world. He holds well over 100 patents, largely on security technologies. He has extensive teaching and training experience, going back several decades. He is a trained scuba diving and first aid instructor and enjoys mountain biking and skiing when not cracking hard security nuts.
